I stayed at Motel 6 on 3/7/13 and I woke up to bed bugs clawing on me. I reported it to the front desk. they kept telling me the manager was busy. Then a housekeeper came up and took me to look for the manager. As we walk through the halls the housekeeper advised me that the motel were aware of the bedbugs. I recorded all of our conversation. That's when I ran into another worker who said the manager was busy. He asked me if I want him to check my room I said yes. We went to the room and the bed
bugs were still on the bed.

On December 23, 2008, I stayed at the Motel 6 on Buell Road in Rochester, NY. This motel is near the airport and I had to change a flight from December 23 to December 24, so I stayed at the Motel 6 on the evening of December 23. The girl at the desk hesitated before she gave me room 106 -- now I think I might know why she hesitated. The next day I started developing a very itchy rash from head to toe. The rash did not go away, so on the 5th day of it, I visited my doctor. He took one look at
my legs, asked if I had slept somewhere besides my own bed, and I told him I had stayed at that Motel 6. He told me I was suffering from bed bug bites, and he gave me a prescription. I used the cream, took a shower, and washed all the bedding; the rash went away. I then checked the Motel 6, Rochester, NY, website for motel reviews and discovered that several customers were complaining of problems with bed bugs at this motel; however, I believe I am the first to report to the New York State Health Department and to this website.
